Possible Breaking Changes

What has changed What to do
SAML assertions no longer return the entityId appended with an additional slash "/" character. See PROD-1523. Revert any manual modifications to the metadata whereby slash characters were added to match assertion values. Alternatively, re-import the metadata.
New App versions available. If you are using modified Apps, you must replicate your changes in the new version. See App Changes below for a summary of the items that have affected Apps in this release.

PROD-200-EDI. Carrier communication methods can now be configured. Added a new setting for EDI carriers, File Transfer Method, controlling the communication method used (such as FTP or SFTP). The setting is named for each carrier, E.g. YRC File Transfer Method. See EDI Carriers for detail.
PROD-196-EDI. Support for standardized EDI messaging. A new EDI standard has been added for all EDI carriers, enabled by the setting Using EDI Standards. The setting is named for each carrier, E.g. YRC Using EDI Standards. Note that the setting defaults to False, meaning the existing EDI message structure is used. If set to True, the carrier uses a fixed, built-in standard for EDI messages. Ensure the carrier can receive messages in the new format before activating the setting. Note that built-in validation applies to all standard EDI requests; if the request does not pass, EDI uploads will fail. See EDI Carriers for detail.

In support, added a new number range type, EDI Transaction Set Identifier. A number range must be configured to operate with the new EDI standards; if not, EDI uploads will fail.

PROD-195-EDI. Support for EDI message parsing. EDI 204 (Motor Carrier Load) transaction sets are now parsed when being passed to standard EDI carriers. Messages are checked for correct structure, and if each section meets the defined rules. If it fails at any stage, an exception is raised and processing stops.

This functionality is only for carriers using standard EDI messaging (see PROD-196). If not enabled, the previous behaviour is retained and 204 messages are not parsed.

PROD-197-EDI. Improvements to voiding logic. Added the ability to send a 204 (Motor Carrier Load) message when voiding. Voided shipments will have a status of Void Pending, until the carrier acknowledges the 204 request with a 990 message either accepting or rejecting the void; the status will then be updated with Voided or Void Declined.

This functionality is only for carriers using standard EDI messaging (see PROD-196). If not enabled, the previous behaviour is retained and no 204 message is sent when a void is performed.

PROD-198-EDI. Shipment Instructions now passed in 204 messages. Shipping Instructions are now passed in 204 (Motor Carrier Load) messages to carriers, and display in the Bill of Lading’s Special Instructions field. The data is passed in ship request ShippingNotes node, or at the package level within PackageNotes.

Other Changes

PROD-1483 - Administration App. Resolved issue with Address Book Permissions. An error has been corrected whereby editing a user’s Output Permissions caused their configured Address Book Permissions to be cleared.
PROD-1477 - Reports App. Amended handling of CSV report format. Resolved issue whereby the comma character caused errors when generating CSV reports. Now, content featuring commas is placed inside quotation marks to ensure it is generated correctly.
PROD-1460 - Desktop Shipping App. Addressed issue with State field. An error has been corrected whereby the State field displayed as required when shipping to Germany. Additionally, addressed an issue whereby rate group errors presented on load if the Carrier Service snippet was disabled.
PROD-1519 - Various bug fixes. The following fixes have been applied:
  • Searching for Cost Centers from Apps now only returns active Cost Centers. Previously, disabled Cost Centers would be returned causing errors during shipping.
  • The MailCenter App’s Recipient Email Address Required App setting now functions as expected.
PROD-1523 SF24609 Authentication. SAML. Resolved errors with assertion URLs. An issue has been resolved whereby the assertion returned the entityId appended with an additional slash “/” character, causing errors when passed to the IdP.
PROD-1418 - Data Management. Corrected application of date range filters. When applying date range filters during export, an issue has been corrected whereby setting the From and To fields to the same date returned data from multiple days.
PROD-1293 - ActiveReports. Outputs. Updated handling of pagination. The Paginate option, configured in the Administration App’s Outputs tab, now functions as expected for ActiveReports outputs when operating with client printing.

Additionally, Transtream has been updated from ActiveReports 8 to now use ActiveReports 12. There is a new HubCapp Peripheral Agent (2.15.0) and Reports Editor (1.1.0).
PROD-1525 - Authentication. SAML. Corrected user password errors. Resolved an issue whereby errors concerning missing passwords presented on login, even for users with no password configured and authenticated via SAML.
