Setup

Setup My System is supported for this carrier. If onboarding manually, alongside the general guidance given in Set up a carrier, the key detail for this carrier is:

  • Requirements:
    • Security Credentials Username and Password
  • Setup stages (Administration App):
    • Enable Yamato (Carriers page), and add Security Credentials (the Identifier field is your Security Credentials Username).
    • Add the Account.
    • Add a Shipment Identifier Number Range (Data page), and associate it with a Yamato account (Accounts page).
    • Add Carrier Permissions.
    • Set up International Defaults.
    • Set up Outputs.
Note there is an additional setting supported for this carrier, configured in the All Settings page of the Administration App's Data tab:
  • Yamato Volumetric Weight Factor. Used in package volumetric weight calculations as follows: Length (in) x Width (in) x Height (in) / Yamato Volumetric Weight Factor.
