Use Setup My System/Carriers

In the Administration App, you'll see a Setup My System and Setup My Carriers section showing what is set up in Transtream.

Setup My System

Setup My System is designed to get you up and running quickly and easily, so you can then onboard your carriers. Click a row, and the App guides you through the process until all needed system-level settings are configured.

When configuring a new instance, to attain the capability to ship, you should proceed in this order:

  1. Add a location.
  2. Add a user.
  3. Configure a printer.
  4. Add a label.
  5. If planning on shipping internationally, add international defaults.
Apps access

If you have already downloaded Apps and then used Setup My System to add a user with the Role of User, you can go to the Users page, and add permissions to use the required Apps (Admin users can see all Apps). See Users for more details. Alternatively, you can control App access using profiles. See Profiles.

Setup My Carriers

Setup My Carriers list all carriers that you can onboard through the onboarding wizard that guides you through the process. For example, for a carrier, it leads you through the detail required for shipping. To aid learning, it does this against the actual software.

Not every carrier is included in Setup My Carriers so all of your carriers may not be listed on the Home page. Click the Carriers page to see what carriers you have in Transtream. If you need to set up a carrier that is not covered by Setup My Carriers, its reference page includes full details. Carriers lists all carriers and links to their content.

Use the Onboarding button (top right) to toggle assistance on and off.
