Reports Editor
Use the Reports Editor to modify reports and certain outputs downloaded from the Administration App's Outputs tab. See Administration App - Outputs for detail. Once loaded into the editor, you can edit the content, apperance and parameters of the file. Note that only outputs with the format .rpx can be customized in the editor. The editor is available from the Downloads page.
Reports Editor - Key Points
- The left-hand panel contains available controls, such as TextBox, Line, and Table. Use the controls to add content to your reports and outputs. Drag controls onto the page and position as needed.
- Use the upper right panel to navigate between page elements, add parameters and configure data sources.
- Use the lower right panel to customize the behavior and appearance of the selected element.
- Use the Designer, Script and Preview options at the bottom of the screen to switch modes.
Parameters
Parameters are used by Transtream to filter the information displayed in a report. Parameters are shown in the upper-right panel under the Parameters section. To configure a new parameter, right-click within on Parameters section and choose Add Parameter. Configure:
- Add a name using the Text for prompting users for a value field.
- If required, use the Available Values tab to add possible values for the parameter.
- Data type. The following are supported:
