Data Maintenance
Certain local Transtream folders accumulate data following system installations and updates. Due to the large volume of data stored in the folders, they have the potential to affect system performance. To ensure optimum product performance, the following folders should be cleared after Transtream updates:
- C:\Users{username}\AppData\Local\NuGet\Cache
- C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\composer
- C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\logistics server
- C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\Temporary ASP.NET Files\task scheduler
The maintenance on these folders will have no impact on Transtream Apps, but the next time an App is accessed the initial request will be slower whilst the system rebuilds the cache.
Clearing the above folders will affect all ASP.NET applications on the server, meaning that if the product is run alongside other ASP.NET applications, these items will also be affected. As such, it is recommended that the folders should be cleared outside of operating business hours.
