PackSnap
The PackSnap snippet allows an App to capture and display images of shipments. PackSnap is a licensed
feature in Transtream and is used in the standard Warehouse and View Apps. It is served by a microservice.
Use Video Camera means use the machine's default webcam provided a modern browser is being
used and the App is being served over HTTPS. If these criteria are met, the user sees a live stream and
has a TAKE PHOTO button.
Use Peripheral Camera is for users who do not meet the criteria for
Use Video Camera. It uses a camera configured and connected
through HubCapp Peripheral Agent. There is no live stream preview.
Save With Shipment means upload any captured images to the microservice
when a Ship request completes. If false, you will have to
implement a 'Save' button.
If adding the snippet to a viewer (as done in the standard View App), images are bound to shipments by
mapping its Tracking Number Control parameter to an appropriate control.
In the Warehouse App, the PackSnap snippet is used with QubeVu.
